Refund Policy

At Online Teen Ed, your satisfaction matters. We operate onlineteened.com to deliver the California DMV Approved Online Teen Driver Education Course and related products. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available and how to request one.

If you experience technical problems or have questions about your order, contact our Customer Care team by phone, live chat, or email. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout.

How to Request a Refund

Reach us through our Contact Us page, call 510-591-0000, or email Info@onlineteened.com. Include your proof of purchase and a brief explanation of your request.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

  • Not passing quizzes, the final exam, or other required assessments within the number of attempts allowed by the course guidelines;
  • Not meeting identity verification requirements—such as biometrics, security questions, or other methods required by the course;
  • Course access expiring under the timelines stated in the course guidelines;
  • Rush processing or certificate mailing fees after the expedited service has already been completed as requested;
  • Driving record orders after the record has been processed.

Online Courses

You may qualify for a refund if you have not started a required test or exam, have not received a completion certificate, and have not finished the course. Eligible requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase and include proof of purchase plus a written reason for the refund.

Live and Virtual Instructor-Led Courses

For live or virtual instructor-led (VILT) training, refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase and at least 14 days before the scheduled class date. Review course-specific terms for rescheduling rules to avoid extra charges.

Physical Products

Pre-shipment cancellation: Submit a refund request within 24 hours of purchase if your order has not yet shipped.

Returns after delivery: If you are unsatisfied with a physical item, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Your request must include a copy of the packing slip or invoice. Items must be returned in unused, resalable condition at your shipping cost to:

Damaged or defective items: Contact Customer Care within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damaged product to request a replacement.

Missing shipments: If your order has not arrived within 14 days of purchase, contact our Customer Care team.

Downloadable Materials

Certain courses offer optional Study Guides for purchase inside the course or as a separate download. Guides open with a PDF reader and may be password protected. A Study Guide that has not been downloaded may be refunded for students who have not yet completed their course.

Bulk Purchases

Bulk orders placed within the last 30 days may receive a pro-rated refund for unused enrollment codes only. Redeemed codes are not refundable.

Premier Pass

Some programs offer optional Premier Pass access, which may include benefits such as free re-registration, course extensions, or content unlocks according to the applicable course policy. Review Premier Pass terms shown during registration before you buy.

Premier Pass refund requests must be submitted before you begin the course and before using any Premier Pass benefit.

Course-Specific Terms

Individual products may display additional refund or cancellation rules at registration. When those course-specific terms differ from this page, the course-specific terms control. To confirm policies for a product before you purchase, contact us.

Completion certificates are issued only after all course requirements are satisfied—not based on the purchase date alone.
